Your stretch ceiling specialist from Gronau, since 2013.
Spanndecken Münsterland is a craft business based in Gronau (Westf.), right on the Dutch border. Since 2013 we have been installing stretch ceilings across the Münsterland, Grafschaft Bentheim, Emsland and in Enschede.
We don't need a showroom for that: we come straight to you, advise you on site and install your new ceiling ourselves, from the first consultation to the finished ceiling.

Every stretch ceiling is made individually for your room. You choose the colour and finish, we integrate everything that belongs on a ceiling.

Renovating right now? The stretch ceiling is best installed after plastering, once walls and ceiling are dry, but before the final coat of paint, the wallpaper and the new flooring. The cables for lights, spotlights or LED strips should already be at the ceiling by then.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about stretch ceilings.
A made-to-measure membrane that is stretched into slim wall profiles just below your existing ceiling. It is warmed during installation and pulls itself tight and smooth as it cools.
Hardly. We only drill holes for the slim wall profiles along the edges of the room. Nothing is torn down, sanded, filled or painted.
Usually a few hours up to one day per room. You can stay at home as normal.
Every ceiling is made to measure, so there is no flat price. The price depends on room size, shape, number of corners and lighting. After the free consultation you receive a non-binding quote. As a small business under Section 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), we do not charge VAT.
The gap to the existing ceiling is 3 to 8 cm, depending on the lighting.
Ordinary ceiling lights, recessed spotlights, LED strips and light lines, as well as smoke detectors, speakers and infrared heating. The cables should be at the ceiling before installation.
Acoustic ceilings absorb sound, backlit ceilings are lit from behind and printed ceilings show the design of your choice. A starry sky ceiling has lots of small points of light. Walls can be covered too.
Yes, the membrane is moisture-resistant and easy to wipe clean. If the old ceiling is damp or mouldy, the cause must be fixed first.
We mainly install stretch ceiling systems from a certified manufacturer based in the EU. They are classified B-s2,d0 under EN 13501-1: flame-retardant with no flaming droplets. This is confirmed by a CE certificate from an independent notified body.
The stretch ceilings are CE-certified under the European standard EN 14716 and intended for interior finishing. A new membrane may smell slightly for the first few days, so it is best to air the room regularly during that time.
The membrane is waterproof. If water leaks from above, the stretch ceiling initially catches it instead of letting it into the room. We then drain the water in a controlled way, and the membrane can often be refitted afterwards.
The membrane is elastic and withstands normal knocks, but pointed or sharp objects can puncture it. Small damage can often be repaired discreetly, for example by adding a spotlight at that spot.
The surface attracts very little dust and can be wiped with a damp, soft cloth. You will never need to paint it.
A professionally installed stretch ceiling lasts for many years. The membrane never needs painting, and moisture does not harm it.
Yes. The membrane can be released from the wall profiles; the profiles and their drill holes remain. If you rent, it is best to agree the installation with your landlord first.
